Beth Carver

Beth Carver has spent 25+ years as a Speech-Language Pathologist.  She completed her BA at UNC Chapel Hill in Linguistics and her Masters Degree at the University of Texas at Dallas in Communication  Disorders.  She started her career in 1991 with bilingual assessment (Spanish/English)  in the public schools and a couple of years later began working with adults with neurological issues such as stroke and brain injury.  She also taught bilingual issues and supervised graduate students at UT Dallas while joining the rehab staff at Methodist Hospital in Dallas. This gave her the opportunity to learn first hand about brain injury and brain health from a highly skilled staff  and the people personally walking through this type of trauma as well as other neurological challenges.  In 2004 she joined the staff at CarePartners in Asheville, NC where she worked for 14 years.

Her professional journey has been a continual quest for learning about the brain…how it works, how it heals and what it needs in the healing process.  This led her to pursue certification as a CranioSacral Therapist and to study nutrition in depth.   Craniosacral Therapy (CST) helps calm the central nervous system, opens blood flow to the brain and the flow of the cerebral spinal fluid which improves the functions of the brain and body.   She has a strong integrative rehabilitation background and often refers to functional medicine and integrative medicine practitioners.
