Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)
Experience Manual Lymph Drainage from a Vodder School International Certified therapist. Vodder School therapists learn the first and original lymphatic massage technique as designed by Dr. Emil Vodder to maximize your benefit.
Vodder Manual lymph drainage is a gentle, slow, rhythmic technique. Because of its calming measured movements, MLD can help to lower blood pressure and heart rate by calming the Central Nervous System. When this occurs, the body can facilitate rest and healing.
In addition, MLD can help to alleviate pain and aches in the limbs by stimulating mechanoreceptors that interrupt pain signals to the brain. It provides a sense of calmness and deep relaxation, as well as stimulates the purpose of the lymphatic system: toxin and waste removal.
MLD can also be used to swiftly promote healing by reducing bruising and swelling after elective surgical procedures, like cosmetic surgery
